Yunguilla is a community located among two IBAS (Important Bird Areas). The IBA Maquipucuna - Guayllabamba and the IBA Western Foothills. Accompanied by our guides, you will be able to go on walks that introduce you to the cloud forest, where you will discover a lot of different types of birds. On the other hand, from Yunguilla you can adventure out on a spectacular walk for birdwatching; this route is from Yunguilla to Santa Lucía. Santa Lucía is a paradise for the birds, in which the hummingbirds abound and are also endemic to the area. Santa Lucía also contains various "leks" in which the male hummingbirds perform a ritual of entourage, similar to the lek of the Chicken of the Rock.
