The ecotourism project of Yunguilla belongs to our community and we manage it through this corporation.
Forming part of our program, you are supporting an experience that has permitted us to:
- Revitalize our customs and traditions
- Work as a community
- Value our natural resources and the importance of conserving it
- Generate sustainable economic opportunities
In Yunguilla, you will find ideal sites for:
- Observing the birds, floweres, and the ecosystem of species in danger of extinction, like the spectacled bear or the white-tailed deer.
- Photographing the country’s great beauty formed by the cloudy sky, mountains, and volcanoes.
- Getting to know the local culture and history through its legends and visiting archelogoical sites like paths predating Columbus.
- Learning through an example of sustainable development, and visiting our nurseries, recycling systems, bromelia gardens, and productive activities (marmelades, cheeses, artesan crafts, organic vegetable gardens).
Thanks to your efforts, the community has obtained recognition from the Ministry of Turuism and the Assocation of Ecoturism for having met environmental, social, and service standards of quality established in the Ecuadorian Technical Standards of Ecoturism.
