Organic produce is part of the philosophy of our community. We are aware of the importance of producing and consuming organic vegetables, especially for our own health and for the health of our soils.
We have a vegetable garden in our community small-holding Tahuallullo and most families also have vegetable gardens where we practice agro-ecology. We have received training to adequately manage our land without using chemicals. We produce a wide variety of vegetables and products with longer life cycles like ocas (oxalis tuberosa), mellocos (ullucus tuberosus) and pulses. We constantly work to incentivize production, not only of vegetables but also to raise animals..
Reverting today’s consumerism is not easy but we strive to promote production, rescue agricultural knowledge and to eat our own healthy and delicious produce.
