We are a group of mestiza people that strengthens every day the economic alternatives that permit us to improve our quality of life without violating our priniciples, values and, above all, our communal ideology.

We like what we do because, in the past, neccesity has led us to carry out activities which place a strong pressure on the environment and on ourselves, such as cutting and burning the forest to make charcoal.

Fortunately, as a product of support from distinct entities, in actuality we are an organized community, legally recognized by the Ministry of Work as a Micro-Business Corporation, that maintains a dynamic of integral participation of the different groups of the community (women, men, adolescents, children, adults) in activities, such as eco-tourism, production of organic fruits and vegetables, marmelades, dairy products, recycled paper and reforestation. Our children also form part of an environmental education program.

All of this permits us to change our path and maintain our great wealth: our culture, the forest, its water, its natural beauty and the production capacity of our land.
